Our trip to Sydney was one I was waiting for a long time, I’d been living in Melbourne since February but didn’t have the chance to visit the city until mid June. We were here for a whole weekend so we had the chance to visit a little bit of all the incredible spots the city has to offer like The Opera, Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, Bondi Icebergs, Barangaroo, CBD and some other great places. What I like most about this city is the vibe and feeling you get from it. It’s incredible how nice and cool people are, everything is chill and you feel as if it’s a city that welcomes you.
Food in the city is delicious, there’s a little bit of everything and you can try plates & restaurants from all over the world. My top recommendations would be Mr.Wong (gourmet Chinese), Apollo (Greek) & Anita’s Ice Cream. There are thousands of options that can suit your cravings but I’d definitely recommend booking and researching in advance, places tend to get crowded, specially in high season.
Seeing the sunset at Harbour Bridge with a cold beer was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Walking in between the streets & shops of the CBD and seeing a show inside the Opera are plans I’d also recommend. Sydney is a city that felt not only cozy but also elegant & romantic; it’s a city I’d completely recommend for couples. So why visit Sydney? Because of its food, its different cultures, its iconic landmarks and new undiscovered corners. Because of its people and sense of romanticism, because of the views it has to offer and the diversity of them. It left us completely happy & satisfied with our visit, I hope one day you’ll also be able to experience its magic and love it as much as we did.
Nuestro viaje a Sydney fue un viaje que yo llevaba esperando durante mucho tiempo; llevábamos ya como 5 meses en Australia, desde Febrero, y no habíamos podido visitar esta tan famosa ciudad hasta mediados de Junio. Estuvimos ahí durante todo un fin de semana así que pudimos hacer un poquito de todo mientras la visitamos; nos dió justo el tiempo perfecto para visitar la famosa Ópera, el puente Harbour, la playa Bondi Beach y su famosa alberca Bondi Icebergs, Barangaroo, CBD y muchos otros lugares de la ciudad. Sin duda alguna lo que más me gustó de esta ciudad fue la vibra y el sentimiento de paz que te transmite desde que llegas. Todo es agusto, la gente es amable y es sin duda una ciudad que te da la bienvenida, te hace sentir en casa.
La comida en la ciudad es deliciosa, hay todo tipo de restaurantes y platillos de todo el mundo, demasiado de qué escoger. Mis lugares favoritos de la ciudad fueron el famoso Mr. Wong (comida china gourmet), el Apollo (comida griega) y Anita’s Ice Cream (los mejores helados que he probado!). Hay miles de lugares y opciones en las cuales puedes comer y cenar para probar un pedacito de la tan amplia gastronomía de esta ciudad! Un tip importante es ya tener reservaciones hechas en los restaurantes ya que Sydney es una ciudad muy ocupada y los lugares tienden a estar ya llenos.
Ver el atardecer en el puente Harbour con una cerveza fría sin duda alguna fue uno de mis momentos favoritos en esta ciudad. Caminar entre las calles y tiendas del CBD (centro de la ciudad) y ver un show (cualquiera que esté en función cuando vayan) también son actividades que realmente valen la pena visitar estando en la ciudad. Sydney no sólo te hace sentir en casa si no que es una ciudad muy elegante y romántica en muchos sentidos (Es como el París de Oceanía), así que la visitas con tu pareja sin duda les va a encantar. Así que ¿por qué deberías visitar Sydney? Simplemente por su cultura tan mezclada, sus lugares icónicos, su comida tan deliciosa y por sus rincones diferentes. Por su gente, su romanticismo, por sus vistas y la amplia variedad de actividades y lugares que ver; porque es una ciudad única y diversa, y porque estoy segura que los dejará tan enamorados de ella como a nosotros. Sydney, espero volver pronto, ya que tus vistas y atardeceres me dejaron con ganas de volver ya.
