San Miguel is a town famous for many of its characteristics, but specially because of its delicious food and exotic new restaurants. There are hundreds of restaurants and bars from which you can chose, here are some of my top choices:
San Miguel es un pueblo mágico famoso por muchas cosas, pero en especial por su comida y los restaurantes que este lugar tiene para nosotros. Hay cientos de opciones de las que puedes escoger, pero aquí están mis favoritos:
> Mama Mia: This place is perfect if you’re looking for a chill rooftop restaurant where you can have some drinks and a cold beer! The pizza is delicious and the ambience is great!
Este lugar es perfecto si estás buscando una terraza para comer y echar drinks agusto! La pizza es deliciosa y los carajillos también, en general el ambiente es super relajado.
> Atrio: On a fancier side, Atrio is a relatively new restaurant that offers one of the best views of San Miguel. The food is to die for and there’s about everything here! From pasta, to carpaccio and sushi there will surely be something in the menu for you! If you ever get the chance to visit do order the desserts! They were definitely the highlight of our meal!
En un lado más elegante, Atrio es relativamente un nuevo restaurante que ofrece una de las mejores vistas de San Miguel. La comida está deliciosa y hay un poco de todo! Desde pasta y carpaccio hasta sushi hay algo para todo tipo de paladares! Si tienen la oportunidad de ir definitivamente intenten probar los postres, en lo personal fueron lo mejor de todo el menú!
> Cumpanio: This is both a bakery and a restaurant, Cumpanio has won its fame because of it’s delicious freshly baked bread! The restaurant is probably one of the best in San Miguel for a good mexican start of the day! Chilaquiles, Enchiladas or Croque Madame, everything is delicious!
Esta es tanto una panadería como un restaurante, Cumpanio tiene fama por su delicioso pan recién horneado! El restaurante es uno de los mejores para desayunar en San Miguel, puedes pedir un desayuno típico Mexicano, ya sean chilaquiles o enchiladas, hasta un Croque Madame y un Croissant calientito.
> Doce 18 Concept House: This place is famous for it’s innovative stores and brands, but especially for it’s hidden kitchen in the back. There are over 7 different restaurants to chose from! Truffle fries, macarons, mochi dessert, italian pasta and hundreds of other delicious options!
Este lugar es famoso por su concepto innovativo, y por las múltiples marcas que hay aquí, pero en especial por la cocina escondida detrás del lugar que ofrece muchos restaurantes y puestos de comida diferentes y deliciosos! Hamburguesas, papas con trufa, mochis, pastas y cientos de opciones más para satisfacer tu hambre!
> Street Food: This is obviously not a restaurant but personally I feel obliged to tell you that the street food in San Miguel is delicious and very cheap! Barrel Ice Cream, Esquites, Elotes, Churros, Dorilocos or other hundreds of options, you’ll never go hungry in San Miguel.
Finalmente es importante mencionar que la comida de la calle de San Miguel (a parte de ser bastante barata) es probablemente de las mejores de este pueblo mágico y no te la puedes perder! Ya sea un helado de barril, unos esquites, churros o dorilocos, hay una opción para todos y estoy segura que si la prueban les va a encantar!
