San Miguel: 5 Reasons why you should visit!

San Miguel is a place that has always catched my eye, for it’s bright colors, unique architecture and delicious food, this town is an epicenter of culture, history and gastronomy; so here’s a few reasons why if you haven’t been here, you definitely should.

1. San Miguel de Allende was voted by Travel and Leisure the #1 World’s Best City (2017) , due to its colonial architecture and rich culture, this city is admired by people all over the world.
2. The color in this city is amazing, there’s no corner that isn’t full of bright painted walls and fresh flowers (Insta lovers definitely love coming here and taking some great pics!).
3. The food in San Miguel de Allende is to die for; weather it’s a fresh corn or an ice cream in the street, to a mexican restaurant full of spices and new dishes, you’ll never have an empty stomach on this city.
4. Art and culture is something that this city is famous for; it’s full of museums, expositions and chapels; there’s artwork everywhere and you can find handmade crafts in every corner.
5. Last but not least, architecture. This city’s beauty is mainly because of all the houses, chapels and stores that have been restored through the years but have maintained their colonial and mexican beauty.

While San Miguel is a city I’ve visited many times, I always learn something new while I’m there; the people and service are lovely and this city definitely makes me feel proud to be mexican.

San Miguel es un lugar que siempre me ha llamado la atención, por sus colores, arquitectura y comida, esta ciudad es un epicentro de la cultura, historia y gastronomía; así que aquí les dejo algunas razones por las que creo que si no han ido a esta ciudad, deberían.

1. San Miguel fue votada por Travel and Leisure la Ciudad #1 del Mundo Turístico (2017), gracias a su arquitectura colonial y rica cultura, esta ciudad es admirada por personas en todo el mundo.
2. El color en esta ciudad es impresionante, no hay una esquina que no esté llena de color, sea por las paredes pintadas o flores y arte que hay en todas partes. (Es un paraíso para cualquier persona amante de las fotos).
3. La comida en San Miguel es para morirte, ya sea comida en la calle como helado, esquites o tacos; o ir a un restaurante mexicano  lleno de especies y sabores nuevos, en esta ciudad nunca pasarás hambre.
4. Arte y cultura es algo que esta ciudad aclama mucho; por sus cientos de museos, exposiciones y capillas; puedes encontrar arte y manualidades en cada esquina.
5. Y por último, la arquitectura. Esta ciudad es primeramente bella por su arquitectura colonial, todas las casas, restaurantes y capillas han sido restauradas pero siguen teniendo esa belleza mexicana y hacen que toda la ciudad se vea igualmente bella.

Mientras que San Miguel es una ciudad que he visitado muchas veces, siempre aprendo algo nuevo cuando voy; las personas y el servicio es de primera, y esta ciudad hace que me sienta verdaderamente orgullosa de ser mexicana.
