They say “Home is where the heart is” and I’ve lived in Queretaro all my life, but it hasn’t been until latest years that I’ve really understood the meaning of that phrase and have actually appreciated this beautiful city I live in.
Querétaro is a state located in north central Mexico; close to other cities like San Luis Potosi, Celaya and Irapuato. One of the main reasons why I love Queretaro so much is its size, it’s big enough to be a city, but not chaotic and definitely not like Mexico City. The people living here are nice and warm, and even though it can get really cold during winter, most of the year the weather’s warm and cozy.
Queretaro is famous because of its Aqueduct, which was built in the 18th century and is all made of stone. The city center is filled with local shops, restaurants, bars and handmade crafts that local people sell. You can spend a whole day here and never get tired of it; some of the best places to eat and see the city center are: La Mariposa, La Grupa, Carranza 50, Breton, Maria y su Bici, and many others.
Being a mexican city Queretaro is always full of color, and it’s streets are somehow always lit up. This city taught me so much while growing up, but the one lesson it will make me remember forever is that while I love traveling and discovering new places, there’s no better feeling than having somewhere you belong and calling it home.
Dicen que “El hogar está donde está nuestro corazón”, y yo he vivido en Querétaro toda mi vida, pero no ha sido hasta los años pasados que me he dado cuenta de qué significa esa frase y por qué soy tan afortunada de vivir aquí.
Querétaro es un estado localizado en el centro – norte de México; cerca de otras ciudades como San Luis Potosí, Celaya e Irapuato. Una de las razones por las que me gusta tanto Querétaro es su tamaño, es una ciudad bastante grande pero no lo suficiente para ser caótica, y ni siquiera para acercarse a Ciudad de México. Las personas que viven aquí son amables y buenas, y a pesar de que en invierno puede hacer mucho frío, casi todo el año hay sol y el clima es cálido.
Querétaro es famoso por su acueducto “Los Arcos” que fue construido en el siglo 18 y está hecho completamente de piedra. El centro de la ciudad está lleno de tiendas, restaurantes, bares y puestos que venden artesanías locales. Puedes pasarte todo el día aquí y nunca aburrirte, algunos de los lugares más recomendables para comer o ver la vista son: La Mariposa, La Grupa, Carranza 50, Breton, Maria y su Bici, entre otros…
Siendo una ciudad mexicana a Querétaro nunca le falta el color y siempre está llena de luz. Esta ciudad me enseñó mucho al crecer, pero sobre todo me enseñó que a pesar de que viajar sea mi pasión y me encante, no hay mejor sentimiento que poder llamar a esta ciudad mi casa y saber que siempre perteneceré aquí.
