Since we were in Munich we knew we had the obligation (and personally the joy) to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. We decided to book a tour which we took from central Munich; it was a great idea because our bus took us both to the Linderhof and the Neuschwanstein Castles.
First we stopped in the Linderhof Palace, this was one of the many palaces King Ludwig II of Bavaria owned and it’s quite impressive, it’s surrounded by beautiful green gardens and gold fountains that give it the classical and elegant touch.
Then we headed to the Neuschwanstein Castle, I was personally quite excited since I’ve always loved Disney and meeting the castle that inspired them was quite exciting to me! Firstly you have to walk for about half an hour to get to the entrance of the castle, you can either do this by foot or in a horse’s carriage (since it was summer).
Then you finally arrive in the Castle and as you see it from beneath I can assure you it’s everything you’ve ever seen on pictures and more! The tour from the inside is quite interesting as they show you all the rooms and details that the castle contains from when King Ludwig II of Bavaria had it built.
One thing you can’t miss if you’re ever here is the hanging bridge that has a view from the top of the Neuschwanstein Castle. We were there in the summer so hundreds of people were there but I promise you the view from here is impressive! This castle was definitely worth the trip, making us feel like royals throughout all our visit.
Ya que estábamos en Munich sabíamos que no nos podíamos ir sin antes visitar el castillo de Neuschwanstein, por lo que decidimos rentar un tour que nos llevaba desde el centro de la ciudad de Munich a dos castillos: Linderhof y Neuschwanstein.
Primero paramos en el Palacio de Linderhof, aquí vivió el rey Ludwig II de Bavaria, y el Palacio es en sí divino. La arquitectura es clásica y tiene detalles dorados y fuentes entre jardines verdes que le dan un toque elegante y trabajado.
Luego nos dirigimos hacia lo bueno, el castillo de Neuschwanstein; desde que era chiquita siempre había querido visitar este lugar ya que Disney y sus palacios siempre me habían fascinado. Antes de llegar a la puerta del castillo debes caminar como media hora de subida para poder llegar hasta arriba, puede ser a pie o en carrozas de caballos (como en esa época) pero ya que era verano nosotros decidimos caminar.
Después de caminar por un rato por fin llegas a la entrada del castillo y de verdad es algo tanto impresionante como inmenso que te deja con la boca abierta. El tour del castillo por adentro vale mucho la pena ya que puedes visitar casi todos los cuartos y ver la vista tan impresionante que el Rey tenía.
Finalmente algo que no se pueden perder si visitan Neuschwanstein es el puente colgadizo en la parte de atrás del castillo que te deja verlo desde arriba; esto es sin duda lo más impresionante de la visita. Nos encantó poder visitar este Palacio y esperemos algún día podamos regresar a sentirnos de la realeza por un ratito.
