As previously stated the city of Tokyo is huge! It has thousands of streets, metro lines, districts, stores and restaurants! Getting lost can be really easy and defining what to do can be hard! Which is why I’ve made a full 2 day itinerary of what to do while you’re here to make the most of your time!
Como ya les dije en el post pasado, Tokyo es enorme, con cientos de calles, líneas de metro, distritos, tiendas y restaurantes! Perderse en esta ciudad puede ser muy sencillo y no saber en qué invertir tu tiempo también; por lo que decidí hacer un itinerario de 2 días enteros de Tokyo! Espero les guste!
DAY 1 // DÍA 1
Firstly let’s start with some history! The first stop is the Meiji Shrine which is located very close to the Harajuku district! Here you can admire a traditional Shrine that is surrounded by a beautiful forest! You can see all the people making offerings and can even make one yourself!
Primero vamos a empezar con un poco de historia! La primera parada es el templo Sintoísta Meiji Shrine que está localizado muy cerca de el distrito de Harajuku! Aquí pueden admirar un templo típico sintoísta rodeado por un bosque hermoso, y hasta pueden comprar una ofrenda y donarla en el templo!
Next go (walking distance) to the Harajuku district and get lost in this streets! There are hundreds of stores full of gadgets, local products and thousands of food places! Cat & owl cafés, gigantic cotton candy, crêpes and sweets! You have to try something local and enjoy the Japanese modern trends!
Después de ir al templo vayan (distancia caminando) al barrio de Harajuku y piérdanse en las calles! Este distrito es famoso por sus coloridas tiendas, cafés y personas! Hay algodones de azúcar gigantes, cafés de perros y búhos y personas disfrazadas en la calle! Este es el lugar perfecto para aprender sobre la cultura vibrante y joven de los japoneses hoy en día.
As for lunch I recommend going somewhere local, there are tons of options but seafood is Japan’s specialty so I would eat in a sushi place either in Shibuya or Harajuku! And while you’re there you can cross the Shibuya crossing and see it from the top of any bulging beside!
Para comer les recomiendo ir a algún lugar local, la comida japonesa es deliciosa pero lo más famoso son los maricos y los ingredientes frescos. Yo comería en algún lugar de piezas de sushi ya sea en Shibuya o en Harajuku! Y mientras estén en Shibuya crucen la intersección, ya que es la más famosa y transitada del mundo! Si quieren verla desde arriba cualquiera de las tiendas o edificios de alrededor pueden servirte como mirador!
As for the afternoon you can go to the Imperial Palace and admire some traditional Japanese gardening! The contrast between the ancient temples and the modern buildings in the back are definitely a sight worth seeing! And finally for this day we ended up walking in between the Ginza streets doing some local shopping! (As for dinner we went to Andy’s fish which was the best restaurant in all of Tokyo! See my food section for more info).
Durante esa tarde puedes ir a visitar el Palacio Imperial y así admirar los tradicionales jardines japoneses, y su contraste con esta ciudad tan moderna y agitada. Por último puedes pasar la tarde caminando en las calles del distrito de Ginza y entrando a las tiendas tan variadas que tiene. (Para cenar fuimos a un lugar que se llama Andy’s Fish, el mejor restaurante que probamos en todo Tokyo, delicioso y local, si quieren saber más tengo un artículo en la sección de Comida).
DAY 2 // DÍA 2
The second day we got up early to visit the Tsukiji Fish Market, unfortunately tourists are not allowed before 11 am because they obstruct the way of the market! So you may wanna visit it until 11! There are gigantic tunas and fishes that are sold all over the world and it’s really stunning! Try to eat some sushi or fresh fish on one of the restaurants outside the marke, they’re delicious and totally worth it!
El segundo día fuimos a visitar el Mercado de Pescados Tsukiji, desafortunadamente los turistas ya no son tan bienvenidos porque estorban mucho, pero después de las 11 am puedes pasar al mercado y ver cómo funciona desde adentro. Hay atunes y peces gigantes que son vendidos por todo el mundo y distribuidos a algunos de los mejores restaurantes del mundo! Vale la pena probar un poco de pez fresco en los restaurantes locales alrededor del mercado.
After that we took a boar ride through the Sumida river and admired the city from another perspective! Shortly after that we went to eat some traditional Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki! These are traditional ways to cook up meat and they’re absolutely delicious!
Después de esto tomamos un barci por el río Sumida y admiramos la vista desde otra perspectiva! Decidimos comer en un lugar tradicional de Shabu Shabu y Sukiyaki y estuvo delicioso! Estas son maneras tradicionales de cocinar carne y vale mucho la pena ya que es toda una experiencia!
Finally that day you can visit the famous Senso Ji Temple temple, you can visit the temple and afterward take some pictures with some girls that had kimonos on and stroll down the streets around eating matcha ice cream and shopping local Japanese products! (Try street food and you might be surprised!)
Finalmente visitamos el famoso templo Senso Ji, puedes tomarte foto con algunas de las mujeres que están vestidas de Kimono, visitar el templo y comer algún helado al rededor del templo y sus calles! (La comida callejera y los productos que venden en las tiendas son de muy buena calidad!)
Finally our last Tokyo stop was the best Ramen we’ve ever had! Ippudo is a famous restaurant because of it’s specialty in Ramen & I won’t disagree because we had the best one of our lives! The service was wonderful too and we were able to meet some locals here that made our visit very pleasant.
Nuestra última parada en Tokyo tuvo que ser un buen Ramen, fuimos a la cadena de Ramen Ippudo que nos habían recomendado mucho y de verdad valió muchísimo la pena! Es delicioso, el servicio muy bueno y convives con personas locales!
Tokyo is very big and visiting this city definitely means you’ll be walking a lot! But I promise you’ll love it and will feel as if you never want to leave! We certainly did and will remember this city forever!
Esta ciudad es enorme y la lista de cosas que hacer es interminable, pero si estas listo para caminar, conocer lugares impresionantes, comida deliciosa y admirar la ciudad más ordenada del mundo entonces Tokyo es la ciudad para tí. Estoy segura de que la vas a querer tanto como nosotros al final.
